Students that study STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) ultimately have an edge in the global economy. For this month’s First Friday (being held on the second Friday) features a panel of STEM educators, put together by Bob Sanborn, superintendent of the Cape Cod Regional Technical High School. They will share the programs they have developed to engage our local students in these important subjects.
Some of the panelists included are Roger Faucher from Nauset High School who will detail his robotics program; Nancy Gifford from Harwich Middle School with a project she is doing about the “Dark Side of the Moon” with the help of NASA; and Elizabeth Bewick from Cape Cod Regional Technical High School where a new Engineering Technology program has been established and “Project Lead the Way.”
