Social robots have arrived and they promise to revolutionize human-technology interactions using life-like behaviors. Jibo is the first social robot for the home designed to be more like a member of the family than just another voice-driven device. Cynthia Breazeal’s MIT Media Lab research indicates that robots like Jibo will provide more than just useful features – they will provide companionship and help us achieve our goals. This is an opportunity to meet Jibo and experience his charm in person.
