Important Distinction Between Organization and Submember Login
An organization may have both submembers and contacts. A submember is a contact who is listed as part of the organization’s membership. All submembers are contacts but not all contacts are submembers, carrying the benefit of the organization’s membership. For example, a technology officer may be a submember while an administrative assistant may simply be a contact, perhaps the individual charged with maintaining the organization’s member information. There are login credentials for managing the organization’s membership and separate credentials for each submember (individual) within that organization. The organization login is used to manage contact info about the organization, as well as renewing membership and adding submembers. Submembers should use their individual logins for event registrations or to manage their own contact information.
Log in to your Organization Member Dashboard
From our homepage at https://cctechcouncil.org, select Membership, then Member Login. Enter your organization’s user name and password (bearing in mind the distinction between the organization login and submembers as noted above). Once logged in you may:
- Edit your organization’s information
- Edit your organization’s public member directory listing
- Add submembers
- Register submembers for events
- Edit your login credentials
- Review your membership history and renew
- Review event attendance history
Edit Your Profile/Membership Directory Profile
To edit your profile information, click Membership Directory Profile from the Portal Pages menu. Note that Update My Profile from the Portal Pages menu and Edit Profile from the Profile panel in the dashboard will allow you to edit most of the same information, but Membership Directory Profile gives you specific options for your Member Directory listing. In the Membership Directory Profile panel you can edit your information:
- Photo – this can be a headshot/photo or your logo. Keep in mind this is a round display spot for the image. Headshots work well, as will any logo that is round or square. Horizontal logos don’t work as well. It’s best to start with an image of 1000 pixels square or less. The file size must be less than 500K. We are happy to help you format your image so you can present the best of yourself.
- Would you like to appear in the membership directory? – Allows you to opt in or out of appearing in the public membership directory.
- Would you like to include your photo in your membership directory profile? – Allows you toggle appearance of your photo/logo as part of your listing. If you opt out, the CCTC logo will appear in the photo space.
- First & Last Name – if you have opted to appear in the Directory your name will be shown by default.
- Contact fields – the remaining contact fields all have an eye icon to the right, clicking that icon toggles the visibility of those fields in your public listing.
- Sector – check as many of these as are appropriate. Visitors to the member directory can used the Advanced Search function to search for all businesses who have opted in to that particular sector.
- Profile Description – You may enter up to 1,048 characters in this field as a description of your products and services. That’s about 200 words.
Submit your info and it will be saved to your profile. If you access the member directory from the Portal Pages menu, your listing will be shown first so you can easily view your changes.
Add Submembers to Your Membership Account
As noted above, submembers are company contacts who are designated to receive the member benefits of the organization, such as event discounts. To add a submember, select Memberships from the Portal Pages menu, then click the Manage Submembers button in the Memberships header bar.
If the person is already in Neon as a company contact (such as from a previous event registration), select Choose Existing Contact(s), select the checkboxes of the names you would like to add, then click Confirm. Verify the contacts you have selected are listed, then click Next. Your summary will list the submembers to be added. There is no charge to add submembers (but some membership levels may limit the number of submembers). Click Join Now and the submembers you have selected will be added to your Membership Account.
You can also add a new contact by using the provided form instead of selected Choose Existing Contact(s).
You might find that submembers end up with duplicate accounts. We can merge those accounts for you to be sure each submember is using one unique account.
Register Submembers for Events
Clicking the Register button on our event listings on our website or in our newsletter will direct you to log in to your NeonCRM account. If you wish to register multiple submembers from your organization, use the organization’s login credentials. If just for yourself, you may use your submember login credentials.
If you log in with the organization’s credentials you will have the option to select any of the submembers assigned to the organization and register them. You may also register additional attendees who are not listed as submembers.
If you log in as a submember you may register yourself and additional attendees for the event.
You will have the option to pay now (preferred) or pay later at the door. In some cases we can invoice you for events if your organization requires that.
You may also access upcoming events when you are logged in to your Member Dashboard by selecting Upcoming Events in the Portal Pages menu.
Edit Login Credentials
If you have forgotten your password, or if it is the first time you are logging in to your account, you can request a password reset. Go to the member login page, then click Having trouble logging in? This will prompt you to enter your email address and have a reset email sent to your account.
If you aren’t sure which email you have used with the CCTC membership, contact us and we will help you reestablish valid credentials for your account.
Renew Your Membership
From your membership dashboard, you may click Renew in the upper right corner of the Membership pane. Or, if you want to see more details about your membership history, click Memberships in the left portal page menu. Click the Renew button at the top of the Active Membership pane. Follow the prompts to complete your renewal and payment.
You have the option to upgrade your business membership at this point by selecting one of the other membership levels.
