Integrations Developer: Convention Data Services

As an Integrations Developer, most of your time will be spent developing and maintaining integration applications. Typical projects include integrations with event housing (hotel reservation) systems, trade show management systems, membership management systems such as iMIS and Personify, and public facing API’s. Provide guidance and assistance to other Integration Developers on creating/updating integrations.  Assist the Business Analyst with defining and documenting requirements for various integrations.  Maintain documentation including technical specs and application inventory.

Essential Functions

  • Work directly with Sales, the Business Analyst, and the clients to gather integration requirements and determine and/or recommend best methods for integrating systems. Document all technical integration requirements and specifications, and/or provide guidance to developers with regards to creating/maintaining application documentation.
  • Serve as the primary business contact for integrations.
  • Working with the Business Analyst, serve as the go-between for Event Services and the technical groups responsible for integrations.
  • Oversee any new integrations and their implementation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with 3rd party integration vendors.
  • Perform integration and acceptance testing as required.
  • Maintain integrations catalog.
  • Attend integration-specific and company meetings.
  • Develop and maintain integration applications as a contributing member of the Integrations team.


Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ software development experience with Visual Studio, C#, web services, and console applications.
  • 5+ years’ experience working with SQL Server, stored procedures, and SQL jobs.
  • 2+ years’ experience writing technical software requirements or comparable technical documentation.
  • 2+ business analysis experience.
  • Broad IT domain knowledge with specific understanding of integration processes and technologies.
  • Functional knowledge of web services (SOAP, REST, XML, JSON) and batch processes (scheduled tasks, extract, transform, load).
  • Requires attention to detail as well as excellent organizational, analytical, customer service, and written/oral communication skills.
  • The ability to handle stressful situations, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and work within tight time constraints is required.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time; must be able to use computer and telephone equipment, including typing on keyboard
  • Must be able to think analytically, concentrate on tasks and remember details


Four-year degree or equivalent industry experience is required.
