To Be Rescheduled: A Four-Step Guide to Evaluate & Buy Fundraising Software

June 5, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

This workshop has been postponed. We will post upon rescheduling.

Presented by Maureen Wallbeoff in partnership with Philanthropy Partners of the Cape and Islands, SCORE Cape Cod, and the Cape Cod Technology Council

About the Session

Your donation platform, database, or CRM isn’t working for your organization anymore. Maybe the software you’re using is too basic – or it’s too complicated. Maybe you can’t easily integrate it with your other systems. Maybe you aren’t getting good customer support.

No matter why you’re looking for a new system – it’s risky!  It’s expensive! And even worse – you aren’t a tech expert – but you’re the one who needs to evaluate the options and make a recommendation. And there are so many options out there. How do you choose? Where do you start?

Well, you start right here! Join Maureen Wallbeoff, nonprofit digital strategist and technology coach, as she leads you through a proven, simple process that will reduce your risk of picking the wrong platform.  Her straight-forward approach will take you from the beginning – figuring out why you need a new fundraising system – all the way through to understanding the vendor’s contract and getting ready for the big move.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Diagnose the root cause(s) of their fundraising system issues
  • Create a full picture of their systems and data flow
  • Map their requirements to their organization’s goals
  • Communicate effectively with the software vendors
  • Prepare for the conversion project

Maureen Wallbeoff is a Nonprofit Digital Strategist & Technology Coach.

A resident of Cape Cod MA, Maureen started her nonprofit career at Planned Parenthood of Connecticut, rising from counselor to eBusiness Director over a seventeen-year tenure.

In 2008 she opened the doors to Firefly Partners as an owner and Vice President. After a decade spent working with hundreds of nonprofit organizations, Maureen knew that most nonprofit ‘accidental techie’ staff are feeling overburdened and underserved by the systems and software they use to engage supporters. They aren’t confident in their ability to buy and use the right platforms. And she knew exactly how to help them.

She is now a solo consultant, providing solutions and support to nonprofit staff who are struggling to solve their nagging technology problems. In addition to her work with clients, Maureen has authored two guides on nonprofit engagement software, blogs at her website, and answers questions about technology live on Facebook  every Friday afternoon. She has led dozens of workshops around the country at AFP conferences, bbcon, and Bridge, and is an expert trainer for TechSoup and Idealware.
