The Cape Cod Technology Council is excited to host its next event at the Massachusetts Air and Space Museum, which opened in November of last year at its new home at 438 Main Street in Hyannis. Founded in 2007, the museum is focused on fostering, encouraging, and advancing the history of aviation and space exploration, and the contributions to the field by individuals, institutions, and businesses in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The Interim Executive Director of the Massachusetts Air and Space Museum, Keith is a lifelong aviation and space enthusiast, having earned his Private Pilot Certificate in 2019. An avid user of Lockheed- Martin’s Prepar3D flight simulation software, Keith wrote book about his pilot training titled, “Expect Turbulence” which was published in 2021.
He has been involved with the museum since the fall of 2015 and previously served as its project manager at its prior location at the old K-Mart Plaza in Hyannis.
Keith brings with him over 40 years’ experience in the field of information technology that included a stint at the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority. From 1998-2018, Keith was the Director of Information Services at Tewksbury Public Schools where he oversaw an initiative to put laptops into the classrooms of every fourth, sixth, and eighth grade class. He implemented multiple technology improvements in the district and managed the technology planning and installation at the new $84 million Tewksbury Memorial High School which opened in 2012.
He has served as the chair of the North Reading Historical Commission, an executive board member of the Tewksbury Historical Society, and an executive board member of the North Reading Historical and Antiquarian Society. He is a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 106, Aero Club of New England, and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA).
