April 2022 EarthTech Q&A: Eversource – Building a Clean Energy Future

April 8 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Building a clean energy future

Please join us for our second meeting of EarthTech Month! On Friday, April 8th, at 10 a.m., we take a look at Eversource’s future renewable energy infrastructure.

The renewable energy infrastructure of the future will include offshore wind, solar energy, geothermal technology and installing electric vehicle charging stations. The utility company Eversource is already involved in providing clean energy to its customers and jobs to the region through a number of current initiatives and future green energy projects. Learn about the company’s offshore wind project, a first-of-its-kind networked geothermal technology pilot project, its solar energy facilities and EV charging stations when Eversource CFA Roger Kranenburg and Community Relations Specialist Ronit Goldstein lead a discussion, “Building a Clean Energy Future.”

Kranenburg is responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of Eversource’s long-term clean energy and growth strategy and policies along with leading the transportation electrification and battery storage initiatives.
Prior to joining Eversource, Kranenburg was with IHS Markit advising the top electric utilities and power sector owners/operators and suppliers globally on energy sector transformation, investment and operations. Earlier in his career, he led the development and deployment of wireless telecommunications infrastructure joint-ventures in multiple European countries at Teligent.
Goldstein has worked in the utility industry for more than a decade and joined the Eversource Community Relations Team in June 2018 after working for 10 years at Aquarion Water Company, serving as a community liaison and later as Manager for Communications and Operations for the water utility.

In her current role, Goldstein communicates with town officials and staff in communities on Cape Cod, in Plymouth County and Martha’s Vineyard. She serves as a Liaison Unit Leader during storm events, helps to educate the public and stakeholders on Eversource activities, and works to cultivate community partnerships and economic development. She is involved in several reliability projects, infrastructure upgrades as well as clean energy initiatives.
