3D Printing Technology Capabilities and Possibilities for Today and the Future

3D printing – the technology, applications, possibilities, and realities – will be the topic of the June First Friday breakfast of the Cape Cod Technology Council.  The breakfast will be held at the Hyannis Golf Club, Route 132, Hyannis on Friday, June 6 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Rudy Grua, Vice President of the 3D Printing Division of Alpha Imaging Technologies of Lowell, will give an overview on the development of 3D printing, the technologies and opportunities, and where it is being used successfully today.  He will have on hand 3D printing samples of specific applications and results.

Alpha Imaging is the authorized reseller for 3D Systems Inc.’s full line of 3D Printers and supplies for New England. 3D Systems invented 3D printing and remains the leader in the field with a line that ranges from small desktop 3D printers for personal use to full scale Direct Metal Laser Sintering equipment.

Alpha sells 3d printing equipment as well as 3d printing services, handling all applications training, product consulting, and service support, while also providing seminars on all aspects of 3d Printing.

Rudy is a graduate of Iona College and has been in the imaging technologies business since 1992.

Tickets for the breakfast are $15 for members and $20 for non-members and includes a hot breakfast.  Reservations may be made at cctechcouncil.org.
