This workshop looks at voice communications, still recognized as an important business technology, despite the proliferation of e-mail, social media, websites and the Internet.
New technologies make it easier to communicate with colleagues, clients and vendors of organizations that depend heavily on traditional voice communications. Many of these technologies can have a dramatic expense reduction impact as well. Topics to be explored during the session include:
I. Next Generation Telephone Systems
a. Internet Protocol (IP) Telephony
b. Virtual phone systems
II. Alternative Voice Communications
a. Google Voice
a. Free vs. Paid Services
b. Web Conferencing
